X-Wave Screen

The X-Wave (pronounced “cross wave”) is another primary stormwater treatment option that resulted from CDS’ trademark research and design capabilities. Classified as a horizontal up-flow screen GPT, the X-wave originated in the combined sewer overflow treatment market and is now used to treat stormwater flows underground at very shallow invert levels.

The horizontal wave shape of the screen provides much greater treatment area (i.e. screen size) for the unit’s footprint, which extends its treatment effectiveness and minimises screen blockage. The high stormwater treatment performance is provided through the processes of screening, up-flow action and gravity separation.
