Rocla sponsors “Our Water - Our Future” photographic competition

Penrith Council in NSW held a photographic competition in October to celebrate National Water Week. As a leading supplier of water quality products, Rocla was pleased to support the competition - sponsoring the main prize in the Open Category.

Penrith Council's Enhanced Environmental Program has a strong commitment to improving and maintaining the quality of its waterways and educating the community about water use and conservation.

The photographic competition, with the theme "Our Water - Our Future" called for all local amateur photographers to submit a photograph that captured what this theme means to them.

Over 50 amateur photographers of all ages submitted a fantastic array of creative photos. The winner of the Open Category was Jose Sanz with a series of three photos depicting his journey down Werrington Creek. Jose visually captured the creek's beauty and the challenges we face in protecting our waterways for the future.

Open Category - Winning Photos (representing the changing views of Werrington Creek from one end to the other).

The winners were presented with their prizes at a special event conducted by the Mayor, Councillor Kevin Crameri. Angela Cheyne from our Emu Plains branch represented Rocla to present the prize to the Open Category winner.
