Rocla Upgrades Poles Plant in Wodonga

Images

Rocla is upgrading its concrete pole manufacturing facility in Wodonga on the New South Wales-Victoria border, as part of ongoing improvements to operations, and to increase production output to meet growing market demand.

A major feature of the upgrade is the installation of a state-of-the-art, high speed mixer that will increase and improve the quality of Rocla's Duraspun® concrete poles delivery. The new facility will allow for more complex poles to be produced without affecting the manufacture of standard products.

With Rocla's commitment to supply high quality spun concrete poles to varied markets including electricity transmission, lighting, CCTV and communications, this upgrade will expand capacity and give Rocla greater flexibility to develop custom solutions for diverse applications.

"We are expanding to meet growing demand for our concrete pole products," says Stephen Baker, General Manager of Rocla. "The newer technology that comes with the expansion will improve the quality of an already outstanding product."

Concrete poles offer many strategic and technical advantages such as inherent strength and durability, resistance to bushfires, corrosion and termites, and low whole-of-life costs. These factors provide a much better return on investment over the long term.
