With their local Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) export operations ramping up, the delivery of ExxonMobil’s new permanent facilities compound in Papua New Guinea is a critical piece of infrastructure for the business.
Leighton Contractors was tasked with developing the compound and chose a range of Rocla® products for the project. The supply requirements included small diameter pipe, storm water pits, gross pollutant traps, oil water separators and box culverts.
Rocla Sales Representative Scott Fyfe says Rocla’s ability to supply a wide range of products and manage the logistical challenges around exporting were key factors in winning the contract.
Before signing the contract, the client visited Rocla’s Gailes factory to work through the technical drawings and inspect product up close.
“This was a large order, which needed to be supplied in eight weeks. Making it happen involved close management on the production process as well as liaison with the freight forwarding company and the client in Papua New Guinea,” says Scott.
